Norges grønne fagskole – Vea 

“Norges grønne fagskole – Vea ” was founded in 1923 and is a boarding college with 130 students and 40 employees.

Vea is a tertiary vocational college for florists, gardeners, horticulturists, landscape gardeners, other professionals in the green sector, artists, artisans and designers who wants to postgraduate. Vea is the only tertiary vocational college in Norway, recognized by NOKUT , which is the controlling authority for quality in education. Vea’s discipline area is green design and environment subjects, all oriented towards a specific vocation providing a competence that is directly transferable in occupational life.

Vea offers educations on two levels

Secondary level (level 4) and tertiary vocational level, (level 5), some as full time educations and some as part time educations. Vea has several unique educations on level 5 and these are Botanical Design, Experimental floral Design, Landscape technician, Green environment and Garden Design. The areas of specific expertise is, together with floristry and gardening, garden design, visualization, pedagogy, vocational didactics, botanical design, art history, mercantile subjects and green environment design.

Vea has high competence within floristry, gardening, pedagogic, art-history and vocational didactics on level 7.
